OUR COFFEE PHILOSOPHY

Why do we strive to do coffee so well?

At Grounds and Gold, we strive to serve the best quality coffee by being intentional about brewing. This means our focus is on highlighting the time and effort that goes into our specialty coffee before it ever reaches our hands.

BARISTAS

Once the coffee has been roasted, it is packaged and sent out to coffee shops to be sold either as retail or as a prepared drink. Regardless, it is now in the hands of the barista to not only prepare the coffee correctly but to also inform consumers about the coffee itself. Baristas often go through extensive hands-on training to ensure that the flavors presented in any coffee are highlighted through the process of brewing. Baristas are the face the consumer associates with that coffee and will often be the one who gets all credit for the taste of the cup. That is why it is imperative that the barista knows the origin of the coffee, and the process it takes in order to accurately inform the consumer.
